The Silent-Hektik F4124 regulator works with a software-controlled IUU charging management system that integrates both a charging current control to prevent overheating and a charging voltage limit to prevent overcharging. This switches the battery off from the charging current if the charging voltage exceeds 14.5V. An additional safety feature has thus been created.
Due to the low battery impedance of LiFePO4 batteries, far more than 20A can flow during charging. The F4124 controller solves the problem by charging according to an IUU characteristic (see Fig.2) This is perfect on-board charge management, just as it is normally done with external chargers. The F4124 regulator has been developed and tested by the manufacturer with LiFePO4 batteries.
Mechanically and plug-compatible, the regulator is compatible with the Ducati-Energia 343 620 regulator used in Rotax 912 / 914 & Jabiru engines.
Features:
- Longitudinal regulation 13.2V to 14.2V (<1%)
- Regulation of "B+" not of "C
- smart IUU charging characteristic for LiFePo4 & Pb
- Charge voltage control
- Charge current control
- Temperature compensated charge
- Overvoltage shutdown >14.5V (2%)
- Overtemperature alarm >70°C (1%)
- Redundant negative connection to battery
- High quality epoxy potting
- extra large cooling surface
- fits to the original multiplug
- fits to original mounting
- Made in Germany
Please note:
All known alternator regulators must be sufficiently cooled, preferably by the airstream.
Therefore, mounting the F4123 controller in the following UL patterns when installed at the original mounting location may result in failure:
Comco Ikarus C42 - assembly in Amarturen board
DynAero MCR-01 - Installation under the seat
Pipistrel - installation in the cockpit
In these cases please change the installation location of the controller.
